the date and time above are actually when my flight departs atlanta for london's gatwick. i was going to pull a half day tomorrow but then thought better of it. why not relax and take my time tossing some things in a bag and getting to the airport? besides if i check in early and have that rarest of pearls - a friendly gate agent - i might just get the dirt and i upgraded. not holding my breath!
so for the next eight days or so i'll suspend the harsh realities and have an incredible time. somehow i just know that all the steaming piles will still be there upon my return...and i mean that with a literal certainty.
last time i was in london a male torso was found bobbing in the thames - the corner news vendors were playing it up and taking in plenty of coin. i didn't read the details; the headlines provided me with images from all those ripper novels.
